Workshop-Day „WupperWal Summer“

Sun 16.03.25, 10:00-17:00
On Sunday, 16 March, 2025, from 10 am to 5 pm, the WupperWal Summer workshop day will take place at the Pina Bausch Centre with Fridays for Future This event aims to develop shared visions for a sustainable and social future for Wuppertal.
In preparation for the 2025 local elections, the workshop will bring together a broad network of social and environmental initiatives, organizations, and politically engaged individuals. The goal is to establish common positions and formulate key demands for local candidates. These demands will be presented to politicians as part of the WupperWal Summer alliance, pushing for clear commitments and concrete implementation.
Beyond this, the workshop day will serve as a springboard for further political action. Plans include a Wuppertal-specific election-o-mat, panel discussions, and public demonstrations to amplify the developed demands.
The event is aimed at politically engaged individuals from Wuppertal who want to contribute their expertise—either as representatives of an organization or as individuals—and connect with like-minded people. Alongside focused discussions, the day will emphasize the exchange of ideas and networking.
WupperWal Summer seeks to strengthen collaboration between social and environmental actors in Wuppertal, establishing a strong civil society voice for the years ahead.
