Neotango Landscapes realizes artistic projects in the form of milongas, journeys and encounters in connection with Tango Argentino. The focus is on relationships to landscapes, places and history in connection with one's own inner dance.
Performances full of musical and dance poetry are created in which no one is excluded, without results, full of freedom and respect for oneself and others. Modern tango music, neo, non, nuevo, electro gives impulses and inspiration to realize this in dance. Freely adapted from Pina Bausch's “dance, dance, otherwise you are lost”.
For the first time, the Schauspielhaus Wuppertal will be the stage for a Neolonga! Tango Argentino has a long tradition in Wuppertal - the city has been a hotspot of the tango scene for over 25 years. Café Ada, Estudio Tango, Café Tango, tango balls and much more have created a strong scene. Anyone who wants to dance regularly will find great offers there. Now Neotango Landscapes is adding another color and an opportunity to dance. Now we are bringing this fascinating interplay of music, movement and encounters into our house.
In recent years, tango has already conquered some extraordinary places in the Ruhr region: the Haniel slagheap, the Kluse suspension railway station in Wuppertal and the Zollverein colliery in Essen.
