Project day: Dance and sustainability

With this guiding thought, students from Gymnasium Haan will experience their project day on dance and sustainability at the future Pina Bausch Zentrum. In a workshop led by dancer and choreographer Rainer Behr, they will explore the connection between dance, awareness, and transformation.

In a world overflowing with information, the inner access to true experience is often missing. Art – and dance in particular – creates this space. It moves us, awakens us, and brings us into relationship with ourselves. This workshop invites students to perceive themselves as observers, to discover their inner movement, and to sense the essence of dance. What impulses drive me? What makes me dance? And how can I give the dance within me a voice?

Through creative exploration and engagement with repertoire material, participants are encouraged to find their own means of expression. The focus is not on knowledge about dance but on experience – because change begins with a state of being, not with theory.
