WAK.NTR Rehab. reloaded

The solo WAK.NTR Rehab., conceived by Pascal Merighi, is a 45-minute solo score from a movement matrix of six solos that Merighi danced as part of Pina Bausch's pieces and in whose creation process he was involved. The capital letters of the title represent the first letters of the pieces Wiesenland (2000), Água (2001), Für die Kinder von gestern, heute und morgen (2002), Nefés (2003), Ten Chi (2004) and Rough Cut (2005).

The solo’s underlying idea of transmitting movement sequences and their artistic legacy is currently being expressed by passing it on to a young artist. On 17 and 18 February 2024, Pascal Merighi and Thusnelda Mercy will present WAK.NTR Rehab. at the future Pina Bausch Centre – in a reloaded version danced by Wuppertal based performer and choreographer Jan Möllmer.

Each performance will be followed by an audience talk with the artists.

A dance matrix by Pascal Merighi, production merighi | mercy in cooperation with the Tanz Station – Barmer Bahnhof and in co-production with the future Pina Bausch Centre.
