THE LIVING BODY This class is rooted in somatic practices and improvisation tasks that I have been developing over several years. I draw deep inspiration from the workings of nature and, by extension, the ways our bodies function. The intricate connection between our physical body, rationality, and spirituality provides endless tools and variations to generate, construct, deconstruct, and experience movement in limitless ways. I invite the participants to explore these ideas without judgment, guiding them through a session that shifts between moments of high physicality, complexity, and unpredictability and phases of softness and simplicity. Additionally, I dedicate part of the class to teaching specific choreographed phrases, creating a balance between free exploration and structured movement.

Francesco Vecchione, trained at the Rossella Rossi Dance Academy (Naples) and the Académie de Danse Classique Princesse Grace (Monte Carlo), has performed with several international companies, including Nederlands Dans Theater and Compañía Nacional de Danza (Spain), among others. As a rehearsal director and resident guest choreographer, he has worked with Ballett Hagen (Germany) and the Dance Company Theater Osnabrück (Germany). In addition, he has been invited as a guest teacher by Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, Tanztheater Braunschweig, and Gauthier Dance Company.

His first choreographic work, Anna (2013), received multiple awards and was presented at various dance festivals. Since then, he has created numerous pieces, including SIUK (2017), The Princess Saves Herself in This One (2018), Clavos (2019), Orfeo ed Euridice (2020), Rape & Culture (2021), Jurema (2020), and La Mia Amica Ombra (2023 & 2024). His works combine dance and theater, giving expression to contemporary themes and stories.
