Ringvorlesung: Klimakrise und Nachhaltigkeit Vol. 6

Tue 11.06.24, 18:00

In addition to the need to adapt to the consequences of climate change, cities face many other challenges. This is noticeable, for example, in the delayed mobility and heating transition or the tight housing market. Against this backdrop, transzent, the AStA of the University of Wuppertal, Students for Future Wuppertal and the Wuppertal Institute invite you to the sixth edition of the lecture series Climate Crisis and Sustainability. On seven dates, speakers from the world of research and experts from the field will shed light on various dimensions of urban transformation processes.

On 11 June 2024, Dr Carolin Baedeker, Deputy Head of the Sustainable Production and Consumption Department at the Wuppertal Institute, and Bettina Milz, Artistic Coordinator and Head of the Preliminary Phase at the Pina Bausch Centre, will talk about Creativity and Aesthetics for Sustainability and discuss how the transformation can succeed in the interplay of art, culture and science. The event starts at 6 pm and will take place at the Schauspielhaus and future Pina Bausch Centre (Bundesallee 260, 42103 Wuppertal). Participation is free of charge, registration is not required.
