Lecture series: Climate crisis and sustainability at Pina Bausch Centre

Lecture with Katja Diehl
Pina Bausch Centre under construction, Bundesallee 260, Wuppertal

Change does not happen by itself – an invitation to exchange ideas about visions and a liveable future. The opening topic: Mobility of tomorrow, with Katja Diehl.

How do we want to live? What changes are needed? Where can we start to ensure that life on our planet remains liveable for everyone? The lectures in the current lecture series on climate crisis and sustainability take a look into the future – and they don't use a crystal ball to do so, but factual knowledge from research. We are delighted that the kick-off is at the Pina Bausch Centre under construction.

The series kicks off with mobility expert, bestselling author and podcaster Katja Diehl. Throughout her career, Diehl has worked on the possibilities of a fair and sustainable mobility transition – in particular on changes in attitudes and behaviour. Her focus: working with people to establish meaningful solutions. Mobility is a matter close to her heart, as evidenced by her lecture Out of the mobile dead end – into the liveable mobility of tomorrow, which will also kick off the lecture series on 28th October 2025 at the Pina Bausch Centre under construction in Wuppertal.

The lecture series is organised by the Centre for Transformation Research and Sustainability (transzent), the General Student Committee (AStA), Students for Future at the University of Wuppertal (BUW) and the Wuppertal Institute.

The event is free of charge and no prior registration is required.
