MOVING WITH PINA – Cristiana Morganti

In her lecture performance MOVING WITH PINA, Cristiana Morganti, who was a performer with Tanztheater Wuppertal for more than twenty years, invites audiences on a journey through the universe of Pina Bausch, seen from a dancer’s perspective.

How is a solo created? What is the relationship between emotion and movement? When does a gesture become dance? How does the relationship between dancer and stage design take shape? And above all, how is the mysterious and magical connection between artist and audience established?

By illustrating her reflections with excerpts from the Tanztheater repertoire, Cristiana Morganti recounts her personal, artistic, and human journey under the guidance of the extraordinary choreographer. In doing so, she reveals the dedication, imagination, and attention to detail hidden within Pina Bausch’s unique movement language.
