She is returning to Wuppertal for “one night only”: the spectacular international singer – or, as she is also known, the post-postmodern superstar Meow Meow, named “Top Performer of the Year” by the New Yorker, described as “sensational” (The Times, UK), a “diva of the highest order” (New York Post), “The Queen of Chanson” (Berliner Zeitung) and “a phenomenon” in the Australian press.
She captivates, inspires and mesmerises audiences worldwide with her unique blend of subversive humour and musical and theatrical depth. Her acclaimed performances have taken her from London’s West End to Carnegie Hall, the Hollywood Bowl and the Sydney Opera House. Her musical theatre works have been staged in Berlin, Berkeley, Edinburgh and Shanghai, amongst other places, and have been presented by artistic figures such as David Bowie, Pina Bausch and Mikhail Baryshnikov, as well as curated at numerous international arts festivals.
