SHADOWS

Following the success of Ego (2024 at the Schauspielhaus Wuppertal), SHADOWS brings a new, powerful dance theatre project to the stage. Urban dance culture meets contemporary theatre and cinematic projections, weaving movement and image into an intense overall experience.

The focus is on the dark sides and moments of light in human existence. SHADOWS explores opposites such as good and evil, light and dark, finding and losing, and shows how dance transforms these areas of tension into collective creativity. Children and young people, with and without dance experience, develop a 30-minute performance in intensive rehearsals. Their individual ideas come together to form a joint choreography in which dance becomes a means of overcoming fears, strengthening courage and highlighting social issues.

The result is a stage production that combines artistic quality with a participatory approach.
