Open Call: The Silent Waltz of the Many

Choreographer Francesco Vecchione invites everyone curious, restless, or simply wondering what might happen if they said yes. No dance experience needed. No audition. Just you, your stories, your presence.

The Silent Waltz of the Many is being created right now, with and for the people of Wuppertal. A multiethnic, intergenerational community of citizens is joining professional dancers, musicians, painters, singers and photographers to co-author a live, immersive performance at the Schauspielhaus Wuppertal.

Each workshop begins with a gentle warm-up to awaken the body and the mind, and moves into creative dance theatre tasks, movement explorations and choreographic phrases. No two sessions are the same. What you bring into the room becomes part of the work.
