Sixteen creative individuals aged between 26 and 79 from Wuppertal and the surrounding area are working with Rainer Behr to develop ‘A Piece with Dance’.
An empty room, and people in it. Searching for a language for what moves us. Searching for questions and tasks, looking inward and gathering. What we find should become visible. We become seekers who dance. Sometimes dance is the answer to our speechlessness, in a time that drives us apart, in which we no longer understand each other and find ourselves in the Tower of Babel. It is about mixing, connecting and what feels so clear within us but cannot be put into words.
Ein Stück mit Tanz (A Piece with Dance) is a contribution to the preparation of the Pina Bausch Centre and is funded during the preliminary phase by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia and the City of Wuppertal.
