Tango under the open sky: Summer becomes a milonga once again

After the successful first open-air season in 2025, the TANZDECK will once again become a meeting place for Tango Argentino, live music, and social encounters this summer. Together with the Tangofestival Rhein-Ruhr, Pina Bausch Zentrum under construction invites you to nine summer milongas – every Monday from 18:00 to 22:00 PM.

The opening evening will feature Quinteto Galván from Buenos Aires, an ensemble that knows the tradition of tango and carries it forward with contemporary energy. On other evenings throughout the season, live bands and DJs will bring both the classic and modern colors of tango to the TANZDECK, including Tangorra (Buenos Aires), the large community tango orchestra El Camino from Wuppertal, and the duo Pablo Montanelli (CH/ARG).

Whether you are an experienced milonguera or milonguero, a curious newcomer to dance, or simply a music lover: everyone is welcome. Come by, dance, listen, watch – and experience Tango Argentino where it is most beautiful: under the open sky, in an embrace, in the heart of the city.
