Building Culture. Alive. On Site.

Together with building culture initiatives and their members, the Federal Foundation of Baukultur showcases building culture locally and brings the network to life in special places. On Friday, 19 June 2026, the Long Tables of Building Culture will make commitment to building culture visible across Germany. Places are shaped, great ideas are realized, and opportunities for exchange and networking are created!

Our theme for 2026 is community. What image could represent it better than a long table?

Long Table of Building Culture

Every year, the Federal Foundation of Baukultur and the Friends’ Association of the Federal Foundation of Baukultur invite initiatives, construction projects, and other participants to bring this important topic into the city and draw attention to impulses for architecture and urban development. The nationwide action day Long Table of Building Culture focuses on engagement in building culture.

The event on the forecourt of the Pina Bausch Centre under construction is jointly organized by the BDA Wuppertal and the Friends’ Association of the Pina Bausch Centre. Interested citizens are warmly invited to take part, engage in conversation with one another, and rediscover this special place. Food and drinks will also be provided.
